This is an excerpt from a film downloaded from Youtube regarding a state press conference on the subject of the coronavirus in March 2020. Before the conference begins, there is a wait that lasts longer than 30 mins. In front of the screen, nothing can be seen except an empty podium and several heads of journalists. With this extract of the empty space before the start of the conference, I recreate an imaginary press conference, accompanying the recording of the dialogue between two homeless friends, to question the balance of power in the transmission of information from our society between the state and peoples who undergo collective invisibility.
In terms of sound, a refugee, Alexis Agbenoci, uses his cell phone to record his interview with Marco, a friend with whom Alex often spends time on the street. To discuss the subject of the coronavirus, Alex asks several questions and Marco answers him. Similar to the form of an interview in a press conference where there is an exchange consisting of questions and answers, Alex and Marco are commenting on the crisis with an almost playful and humorous attitude. There is a big gap between what is the grave reality and what they are seeing and upon which they are commenting.
Indeed, during this time of confinement, so many people stay at home, but not these people who are homeless. Alex and his refugee friends are forced to sleep on the streets, endlessly undergoing a threats to their health and the collective anguish of an uncertain future. But even though the epidemic is spreading severely, they are not really watching the COVID-19 press conference, that the viewer watches, over the internet on their phones. In fact, they are also not trying to take steps to protect themselves against the virus (per their report, this is what they have told the artist).
There is a rupture between a normal society and the lived experience of those who are on the margins, almost as if these two modes of living exist on different planets. By focusing on people who are silent in society, the artist would like to ask, “Do these marginalised people have the right to be listened to? And if they do not have nor never had the right to be listened to, might consciousness of this change the way they produce and receive language? By co-opting and adopting a form of conference, I observe this rupture of these two worlds by wondering, alongside the viewer, where this separation comes from, and why and how these two worlds do not listen to each other anymore.

C’est un extrait d’un film téléchargé de Youtube concernant à une conférence de presse de l’État sur le sujet du coronavirus en mars 2020. Avant le début de la conférence, il y a une attente qui dure plus de 30 mins. Devant l’écran, on ne voit rien à part un podium vide et plusieurs têtes de journalistes. Avec cet extrait de l’espace vide avant le début de la conférence, je recrée une conférence de presse imaginaire accompagnant l'enregistrement du dialogue entre deux amis sans domicile fixe pour remettre en question le rapport de forces dans la transmission de l’information de notre société entre l’État et des peuples qui subissent l’invisibilité collective.
Au niveau du son, un réfugié Alexis Agbenoci a utilisé son portable pour enregistrer son interview avec Marco avec qui ils passent du temps dans la rue souvent. Pour discuter sur le sujet du coronavirus, Alex a posé plusieurs questions et Marco lui a répondu. Similaire à la forme d’interview dans une conférence de presse où il y a un échange composant des questions et des réponses, Alex et Marco sont en train de commenter la crise avec une attitude presque badine et humoristique. Il y a un grand décalage entre ce qui est en train de se passer et ce qu’ils voient en réel.
En effet, pendant ce moment du confinement, tout le monde reste à la maison sauf ces gens qui sont sans domicile fixe. Alex et ses amis réfugiés sont obligés de dormir dans la rue en subissant sans cesse une menace sanitaire et une angoisse collective sur un futur incertain. Mais même si l’épidémie se propage gravement, ils regardent pas vraiment la conférence de presse sur COVID-19 via l’internet sur leur téléphone. D’ailleurs, ils n’essayent pas non plus de prendre des mesures pour se protéger contre le virus.
Il y a rupture entre une société normale et ceux qui sont à la marge. Comme si fondamentalement, on vivait dans deux différentes planètes. En focalisant sur des gens qui sont muets dans la société, je voudrais demander est-ce qu’ils ont le droit d’être écoutés ? S'ils n’ont jamais eu le droit d’être écoutés, est-ce que ça va changer leur manière d’utiliser le langage et le système de réception du langage ? En adoptant une forme de la conférence, j’observe cette rupture des deux mondes en m’interrogeant d’où vient cette séparation, et pourquoi et comment ces deux mondes ne s’écoutent-ils plus.

這是一支從 Youtube 下載，於2020 年 3 月舉辦，由美國總統談論新冠病毒的白宮記者會。在會議開始之前，記者們等待了超過 30 分鐘，電腦銀幕上除了空蕩的講台和幾位記者的後腦勺之外，什麼也看不見。借助 會議開始前的漫長空白，我重新建造了想像的記者會。搭配著兩位尼斯的遊民朋友間遊戲式的偽採訪錄音，在訪談中詢問彼此對於疫情的看法。本作探問著國家和社會之間訊息傳遞的權力平衡，並凝視著全球大事件中，正在經歷集體性隱形的邊緣族群。
聲音的部份，由難民亞歷克西斯·阿貝諾奇（Alexis Agbenoci ; Alex Agui）用他的手機採訪同為遊民的馬可（Marco），請馬可針對新冠病毒及國際情勢表達看法。由問答採訪形式組織而成的對話，與白宮記者會相同。然而亞歷克斯和馬可，在對話中以近乎愉悅而可笑的態度評論危機，彷彿這個極其艱困的現實，與他們眼中的那個世界之間，有著巨大的差距。疫情封城期間，人們大多待在家裡，然而這群遊民 － 亞歷克斯和他的朋有們卻被迫露宿街頭，無休止地承受健康威脅及經濟的潰敗。然而在疫情快速蔓延時刻，他們卻通常不閱讀或收看任何關於疫情的報導，且事實上，他們通常也不採取任何防疫措施，認為一切都是假的。
疫情當下，正常的社會與底層的人們，正經歷著兩種生活的巨大斷裂，彷彿他們來自徹底不同的兩個宇宙。在這件作品中，透過對社會中無聲人們的關注，藝術家想探究：底層的人們有被傾聽的權利嗎？如果他們從來沒有被傾聽的權利，這樣的現實條件，是否改變他們使用和接受語言的方式？透過記者會的形式，我觀察世界如何破裂為二。並與觀眾一起思索，世界的不平等從何而來？為什麼、如何我們的兩個世界，不再相互傾聽。
